When we start a blog or a website we tend to get in a little bit of hurry having all that enthusiasm of starting something new. That’s when all the hardest mistakes are made, and to prevent them we should take a deep breath and think! The first mistake was not choosing a Hostgator coupon code that in case you need, just fallow the link above.
Let’s talk
about the mistakes I made when I started my first blog and set up my hosting
account.
1. I’ve chosen the worst domain name
possible.
The first
domain I’ve chosen was so bad that I immediately gave up on the idea of owning
a blog. It wasn’t attracting me at all and I felt like it would never become a
big brand, only because of its name.
We must
think of the domain as our brand name and project out upcoming future and
directions it would take. Rushing on this one is not a great idea and I really
recommend reading couple of posts here and there about choosing the right
domain name.
2. I’ve chosen the wrong hosting
account.
This is one
of those mistakes that are really hard to adjust if you’re a beginner blogger
and I really regret going over it in so much of a hurry. I remember I never had
long term plans when I clicked on the “add to card” button on my hosting account.
This rushing decision not only made me chose the worst possible username for my
hosting account but also my worst email address that I never used.
3. I overpaid my hosting account and
never used a coupon code.
At the time
I purchased my final hosting with Hostgator that I was happy about I found a
field that was asking for a Hostgator coupon code. I looked up a bit on the web
and I really couldn’t realize how would that code looked since I never located
in on those pages. I was expecting a real code made of numbers only, it turn
out to be a mix of letters and numbers. I was rushing for the account without
thinking much and I never used a Hostgator coupon code.
If would
have used one I would save 100 bucks by now
since they cut of 25% of the total price you spend. Not choosing a Hostgator
coupon code was the worst decision I could make. The hard part is that I could
never use one in the future because it’s valid only for your first sign up with
Hostgator.
If you
really don’t want to repeat my mistake I suggest going over to HostgatorCouponPlace and choosing a
Hostgator coupon code that is up to date and valid. BlogMakingSchool
always has the best resources for the Hostgator coupon codes and discounts on
hosting and other services.
Another
great place to go is the official Hostgator
website, they also provide great coupon codes for different deals.
